Cliff Richard Convention

Hi and thanks for looking in to the Cliff…As If blog page.

Some real hot news – I have been reliably informed that there is probably going to be the very first Cliff Richard convention in the summer of 2010 celebrationg his 70th birthday. I have been asked to take part, but at present I can’t say much more about it than that as I don’t have any more details. As soon as I get the information then I’ll post it on here. I do feel very privileged to have been asked and as you can imagine very excited indeed.

While Cliff was celebrating his 69th birthday on stage with the Shadows in Sheffield, some friends including Elton (Nigel) and Liz from Cliff’s vineyard and I had a celebration meal with lots of fun including singing together a  host of Cliff numbers. We made a toast or two to Sir Cliff with some 2007 Onda Nova Aragonez, and it tasted lovely.

Today I am meeting with Julian Pugh from a Shadows tribute band ‘The Shadtones.’ We are looking forward to the possibility of doing some shows together, so I will update this blog with any developments that occur.
