A Huge Thank You – May 2026
I would like to start this update with a huge thanks to those of you who have kept in touch with me by email, messages through social media, and also by cards and letters sent to my home. I cannot find the words to express just how blessed I feel to know that so many people care about me and assist with my efforts to raise money for the various charities that ‘Cliff As If’ supports.
HEALTH UPDATE
It has been just over four years now since the cancer diagnosis, and my condition remains stable. I am following doctors’ orders and not pushing myself too much. I don’t think I really have the energy to do a lot anyway. Meanwhile, ‘Cliff As If’ is still able to do a small number of events, including fundraising.
RECYCLED T-SHIRTS FOR CHARITY
I came up with the idea that if fans of Cliff Richard had a stack of tour T-shirts that they no longer had any use for, they could send them to me. I would take them with me on my travels and sell them, with people making donations to acquire one.
The idea works, as after receiving the first few (about 20) in the post, I took them to some events and raised almost £100.00! It wasn’t complicated because I just spread them out on a tabletop and invited the audience to sift through them during an interval, putting their donations in a tub. I didn’t feel the need to police it, having faith in the dear folks there to be honest.
It is something I will continue to do, and every penny raised will go to charity. ‘Cliff As If’ will not benefit financially in any way from this project.
If you or anyone you know has some Cliff Richard tour T-shirts to donate, then please get in touch by email at clifftribute123@gmail.com, and I will give you the address to send them to.
LOOKALIKE
My resemblance to Sir Cliff Richard continues to open doors, and I am pleased to announce that I am making this section of ‘Cliff As If’ more focused. I have been involved with a few lookalike agencies over the years, but now I’ll be self-promoting, as opportunities may have been missed.
Having a lookalike can enhance many sports and social events. You can now contact ‘Cliff As If’ directly to enquire about availability and costs by emailing clifftribute123@gmail.com.
CLIFFAGRAMS
I am pleased to report that the ‘Cliffagram’ service is continuing to be the fun and vibrant event it always has been. Because people continue to comment on my resemblance to Sir Cliff Richard, it makes my efforts to surprise people easier and even more thrilling.
There hasn’t been one ‘Cliffagram’ in the 19 years of doing them where those gathered for the event did not initially think that Cliff was in the room. The reactions have been wonderful, with some screams and tears of joy. I can only imagine that if it were the real Cliff Richard present, he would have been thrilled with whatever occurred.
Anyone considering booking a ‘Cliffagram’ need only look at the Google reviews to see how well things have worked out. You can make your enquiry by email at clifftribute123@gmail.com, supplying the location, date, and time. I will respond with availability and costs.
‘Cliffagrams’ are essentially a singing telegram service, so they are short events time-wise.
THE CLIFF RICHARD FAN CLUB OF WALES
‘Cliff As If’ is honoured to be an honorary member of the Cliff Richard Fan Club of Wales. Whenever I get the opportunity to do an event in Wales, the fan club supports what I am doing.
I also assist with their fundraising efforts for Kidney Wales. Information about that organisation can be found via the Kidney Wales website link on cliffasif.co.uk.
Claire and I were blessed to meet many of the fan club members and other Cliff Richard fans at his concert in Cardiff in November 2025.
THE ‘CLIFF AS IF’ SHOW FOR CHURCH GROUPS
When ‘Cliff As If’ began in 2007, it was initially Evangelical church groups that booked me. The original purpose of ‘Cliff As If’ was to be used by Christian organisations as a means of mission and fundraising.
My faith was, and always has been, an integral part of my life, and I wanted to share the Gospel with others. Because I resembled Sir Cliff Richard and could sing a little, I wanted to use those gifts to bring blessings into the lives of others. I felt that, as Cliff is a Christian, people would not find it strange that I was sharing what I believed in through performances.
I have been very pleased that Julian Pugh of the Shadtones occasionally joins me for church events. He is also a Christian and an excellent Hank Marvin-style guitar player. His appearance is subject to availability and extra charges.
Discounts are available for groups with smaller numbers. Please contact us by email at clifftribute123@gmail.com if you are interested in booking the Cliff As If church show for your outreach event.
POPPYLAND RADIO
It has been over three years since I began volunteering at a local radio station, presenting a weekly Gospel/Christian music show that goes out on Sunday mornings from 9am until 10am.
The show is called Gotta Get Gospel and is currently the most listened-to show on Poppyland Radio. There are two songs each week performed by Cliff Richard — a back-to-back feature of songs or hymns he has recorded over the years.
To listen live, go to www.poppylandradio.co.uk at 9am on Sundays, or you can listen to episodes via the website by clicking on the ‘Our Shows’ link. Then scroll down to Gotta Get Gospel, click the link, and you’ll find the latest show along with all previous episodes since 2023.
RETIREMENT VILLAGES AND CARE FACILITIES
The ‘Cliff As If’ show has regularly performed at care facilities and retirement villages across the UK and offers special rates, especially for those with charitable status.
